Thea D. Shive, D.D.S.

dr.jpgI grew up in the Midwest and attended Oberlin College, where I majored in chemistry and biology. I went to dental school at New York University, and I worked for five years as a general dentist. This experience is very useful when working with a patient's general dentist. In complex cases, I have a better understanding of the problems general dentists encounter. I completed my orthodontic training at Albert Einstein/Montefiore where I graduated in 1998.

To keep up-to-date with the latest techniques and technology, I maintain memberships in many professional organizations. I’m currently a member of the American Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association, North East Dental Society and the 2nd District Dental Society.

My husband and I live on Long Island, and we very much enjoy outdoor sports, such as skiing, kayaking, biking, hiking and sailing, and cultural activities.

It is my pleasure to help people improve their lives. After working my way through many years of school, I have the greatest respect for anyone who is trying to better themselves or do their best for their children.
